Texas Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program

Two federal government utility assistance programs are administered by the Texas Energy Assistance Section. Applications are accepted at the local level, and the addresses and phone numbers to apply at for Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) as well as LIHEAP are below.

The federal government programs are committed to help the low income, seniors, and disabled in Texas. These utility bill assistance programs are focused on providing energy assistance, conservation and weatherization, energy-related education, and other resources.

All client services, including application intake, income verification, program details, and all other services are handled by the local agencies across Texas.

The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program, which is called CEAP for short and is the states version of LIHEAP, can offer qualified families with cooling and heating bill assistance. This can include cash for paying bills, disconnection prevention services, and crisis aid.

CEAP may be able to assist low income households across Texas in paying their bills and meeting their immediate energy needs. Advise on saving energy is also provided to families. Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program works with federal government LIHEAP program, and is really the states version of that government program.
